Christmas Gifting

At Start Young UK, we understand that Christmas time can be particularly challenging for families facing financial difficulties. Our Christmas Gifting Initiative is dedicated to easing that burden, ensuring that every child and family can experience the joy and inclusivity of the festive season. By providing essential winter items, food hampers, and toiletries to those who might not otherwise afford them, we aim to create a sense of inclusion and warmth for everyone during this special time of year.

What We Do

Making Christmas Special for Those Who Need It Most

Each year, our Christmas Gifting Initiative provides:

Winter Essentials

Thoughtfully selected items such as gloves, hats, socks and undergarments, helping families stay warm and safe in the colder months.

Food Hampers

Filled with essential food items and festive treats to bring a little extra comfort and joy to families during Christmas

Care Packages

Hygiene items like deodorant, shower gel, toothpaste, shampoo and more ensuring families have what they need for daily life.

The Impact We've Made:

For Christmas 2024, thanks to the incredible support of our donors, partners and volunteers:

Over 700 gifts were wrapped and delivered

120 families from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds received support

Individuals from East Ham Homeless Unit were given gifts and care packages supporting over 30 people

Over £6,500 was raised to fund the initiative
